Meet Dr. Jacob Woods
As a first-generation dentist and college graduate, Dr. Woods brings a unique perspective to dental care. Growing up with limited access to dental treatment himself, he's passionate about providing excellent, affordable care for all backgrounds. After graduating, he completed advanced training in implant surgery, wisdom teeth removal, and endodontics. He chose Dimmitt to continue the legacy of a historic practice while modernizing it with cutting-edge technology. Dr. Woods maintains active membership in the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and Panhandle District Dental Society, completing 25-30 hours of continuing education annually to stay current with the latest dental advances.

Meet Dr. Kyaw
Dr. Kyaw brings a remarkable journey and deep dedication to patient-centered dentistry. Originally from Myanmar (Burma), he earned his dental degree in 2011 and went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in Dental Science. He then served in the Federated States of Micronesia, providing care to underserved communities — an experience that shaped his compassionate approach to dentistry.
After moving to the U.S., Dr. Kyaw worked as a dental assistant and later as a licensed dental hygienist in Florida, gaining a unique perspective on comprehensive patient care. He earned his DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in May 2025 and has been an active member of the American Dental Association since 2016. With hundreds of continuing education hours under his belt, he is passionate about delivering top-quality, up-to-date care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kyaw enjoys hiking and spending time in nature. He’s excited to serve the Dimmitt community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with each of you.

New Patients Welcome
If you're new to Panhandle Dental, we extend a warm welcome to you and your family! Your first visit to our office is an essential step in building a long-lasting, trusting relationship with Dr. Woods and our team. Most new patients are scheduled with our dental hygienist. We’ll take any necessary X-rays and intraoral scans for Dr. Woods to identify any dental concerns, discuss possible solutions and address your unique dental desires. This initial visit typically lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the complexity of your dental case and whether same-day treatment is required.
